The Computer & The Y

So, our computer died about 2 weeks ago. I have no computer except for my husband's work laptop at the end of the day. I had no idea how much I used it during the day until it died... now I miss it terribly. Also, our pictures are piling up on the camera since I don't want to download them to his work computer. I guess I'll have to eventually... otherwise our children will have a lengthy gap of time missing from their life in pictures - seeing as we probably won't have a computer any time in the near future and the card's almost full... but that's another story for another day.

In other Sears' news - we joined the YMCA today. I have committed to work out at least 3 days a week for the next year. It's a lofty goal, I know, but I am committed. I must get back into the wardrobe I own. We cannot afford for me to purchase a whole new one and I'm sick of wearing the same 5 outfits each week... not to mention my friends are sick of seeing them! Anyway, the treadmills at the Y are calling my name. I hear there's a great ab class, but I'm not sure I could do more than 6 situps... therefore eliminating me from the class even before it begins. I'm sure they do more than 6 in a class that lasts 30 minutes - YIKES - 30 minutes of abs!! Maybe I'll check the schedule to see if they have a 3 minute class of abs..... oh, and the YMCA here is NOTHING like the ones from where we came. They have a whole water park in the back for the summer months... it's AWESOME! The Kid's Corner is good too - there's a 2 hour limit, though, so I don't guess I'll try to leave them there while I go grocery shopping.

Hope you all are enjoying your computers ALL DAY EACH DAY. I'm thinking of you...

If you have commited, I am sure you will do it. I have never seen anyone commit to no sugar and do it like you!

that's so very sad. do we need to take up a fund to get another computer? i mean we can't leave those sweet kids stuck on the camera forever. it's a worthy cause :)

stacy's comment was funny.

i so know what you mean about the same 5 outfits. i'm right there w/ ya! the Y's here are awesome too but WAY in the back of The Woodlands. our neighborhood has a workout facility. it's about a block away from my house and i haven't been since having andrew. oh well. i need to get motivated too!! good luck!

your y sounds like ours -- we have an awesome water park thing too. 3 times a week may sound like a lofty goal, but you'll probably find time to go a lot more! sometimes our kids go twice a day; once in the am with me, and once in the pm with dan...the workers say -- hey! the mcneal kids are back!

quit reading this and go to the y!

So sad about the computer! I know you will stick to your goal. You are so good at that! I can work out for free less than 2 minutes from my house and I haven't been once! I am not good at keeping that goal. I always find something that is more important to do!

The Y's here are AWESOME! You will love it. It's where I've met most of my friends in Wichita, and the kids' stuff is awesome, too.

There are a ton of great classes, and I know a lot of the instructors. And don't worry - you won't do 30 minutes of crunches in the ab class - it's tough, but you can do it!! =)
