Your Vote Counts!

This Christmas our family launched the Annual Gingerbread House Making Contest. There were four teams of 2 and each team had to create a gingerbread house with (approximately 90%) edible components. The teams included (in no particular order) Stone, mommy, daddy, Gran, Grandaddy, Uncle Troy, Uncle Bob, & Aunt Charlotte. The only required piece was a mailbox. We did it on Christmas Day, but we had no unbiased judge... hence this post. Please vote for your favorite. You may only vote once and no anonymous vote will count! I will post the winner a week from today on Friday, January 4th.

Entry #1 - The Bungalow
complete with pretzel fence and gumdrop mailbox.

Entry #2 - Country Living
complete with hunters, gingerbread snow angels, and hershey mailbox

Entry #3 - The Church
complete with cross steeple and birdhouse mailbox

Entry #4 - The Duckblind
complete with boat, mojo, and airmail box

wow! so impressive! i bet that was so much fun!

i teetered back and forth between the bungalow and country living. country living has more detail, but, due to the neatness factor of the bungalow, i must cast my vote for...the bungalow.

i too, loved the bungalow for its neatness...but i had to go with the church. the height of it won me.

so, church for me.

I like entry #1 the bungalow. =)

My vote is for “Country Living” – not sure why, I guess because it had a lot going on there.

They are all great, but I'm voting on #2.

They are all good but the duck blind is great. That is the kind of talent that we look for at my bakery "charm city cakes".

Obviously, the duck blind, with the duck lighting in the decoys is the best one. Good job Chet.

What a FUN idea!!! Y'all are too much!! Since you're asking for a vote I'll say Country Living...but I LOVED them all!!!

I vote for Contry Living. It has a lot of details (more candy)and it had to be difficult to add those details without braking anything. If the designer did brake something in the process, you can't tell it. Way to go. You deserve the bragging rights.

How fun is this? I'm so glad you all got to be together. My vote is for the bungalow. I wonder which one Chet was invovled in :)

Because of the difficulty factor, and I know the problems they had building, and re-building the church, my vote is for the church.

my vote goes to the house with the pretzel fence and mailbox, but I was tempted by the church because of what it stands for and how unique it is (and I'm sure the extra work it required), but I like the simpility and cuteness of the house.

They are all good!!! It is a close race with the bungalow and the church but I will cast my vote for the bungalow. I like neatness.

Carol hereby votes for Country Living, it feels like home. Leslie casts her vote for the Church. Don votes for Country Living, "The decorating artist's attention to detail added character beyond what any of the competition had to offer."

I have to vote # 2.

It's a tough choice, but I think the detail of Country Living won me over. Let me guess- the duck blind was produced by Don and Chet! :)

The official voting my have already commenced, but I'm goin with "The Bungalow". I'm all about the precision and neatness.

the church. loved the detail and the height factor and more importantly the doors are open with the people facing out...which is where they should be looking. though i doubt y'all meant such symbolism but whatever...

I know I'm going to be in trouble for not voting for the church, but I'm going to have to go with the bungalow.
